Busy Week Planned On Several Canton Roadways

Road milling will take place on several Canton roadways from Sept. 9-13.

CANTON, CT — Motorists in Canton are advised that some significant road work is planned for the next week.

According to local officials, milling work will take place from Monday, Sept. 9, to Friday, Sept. 13. Milling is the removal of old pavement in preparation for new pavement.

Work is planned for Secret Lake Road (Albany Turnpike to town line); Pond View Drive (Pond Road to Queens Peak); Queens Peak Road (Sunrise to 500 feet beyond Pond View); and Barbourtown Road (West Road to Cherry Brook).

Canton officials said the schedule is in no particular order and drivers are asked to use caution in this area.

Emergency vehicles, school buses, and local traffic will be allowed to pass.
