Canton Cops Nab Precious Pooch (And All Is Well)
Police find lost dog roaming town streets Wednesday morning and reunite it with owner.

CANTON, CT — In the middle of summer, local police are always busy catching bad guys, making sure folks drive right and, generally, keeping the peace.
Wednesday, however, the Canton Police Department became a pet lover's dream when they reunited a small, lost dog with its owner.
According to the department's Facebook page, the little canine was found wandering around the area of Torrington Avenue and Bridge Street at about 7 a.m. on a humid, summer morning.

Police report the precious pooch did not have any tags or identifying labels.
As a result, police put out a proverbial "all points bulletin" to search for the owner, utilizing social media sources.

Ultimately, all turned out well as the owner was reunited with the dog, with the little creature enjoying some face time on the department's social media accounts.
