Canton: Dogs Must Be Licensed In June
Canton will have a drawing after June 30 to determine the 'top dog' of the town.
CANTON, CT — Town officials said this week that dog license renewals start on Saturday, June 1, with renewal forms already mailed out to those on the town's list.
All dogs licensed by June 30 will be entered into a special drawing to be the top dog in Canton and get the #1 dog tag.
Requirements for a license include a rabies certificate and the fee is $19 for an unaltered dog and $8 for one that has been spayed/neutered.

State law mandates that all dogs older than 6 months old need to be licensed.
Fines will be levied against dog owners by the town's animal control officer for unlicensed dogs.

Payment can be done via mail or in-person at the Canton Town Clerk's office at Canton Town Hall, 4 Market St., Collinsville.
