Submitted release

The Canton Intermediate School is hosting its 7th Annual R.O.C.K. (Rock On to Cure Kids) fundraiser to benefit the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center Pediatric Oncology Unit.  Over the past six years the fundraiser, coordinated by sixth grade teachers Tracey Reichen and Jennifer Csida, has raised more than $60,000 to help conquer childhood cancer!

This year’s event will be held on Friday, April 5, 2013 from 4 to 10 p.m. at Valley Sports Center in Canton. The Intermediate School students in Grades 4-6 form teams for the event and get sponsors for their time “rockin” in the rocking chairs for six straight hours. At the event, students will also participate in raffles, arts and crafts projects, sports activities, and more!
