Canton Issues Parking Ban Alert Prior To Street Cleaning Operation

The town late Wednesday night into Thursday morning is looking to rid all Canton streets of snow/ice following recent winter storms.

CANTON, CT — The snow and ice have stopped falling, but the Town of Cantwill implement a parking ban late Wednesday night as its public works crews look to rid local streets of snow and ice.

The town announced Tuesday afternoon that, due to the recent snow storms, the Canton Department of Public Works will be performing snow and ice removal on all public streets.

These operations will take place from Wednesday, Feb. 19, at 11 p.m. until 7 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20.

Any cars parked on the streets overnight during the parking ban will be ticketed.

During the street cleaning, residents are allowed to park in the Canton Town Hall parking lot on Wednesday after 5:30 p.m. and must remove the cars from the lot by Thursday at 6:30 a.m.
