Temperatures are expected to plunge during the Christmas holiday weekend.

CANTON, CT — The one-two punch of heavy wind/rain, then dangerously bitter cold has the Canton Police Department telling folks that if they're concerned about someone being left out in the cold, to give them a call.
The CPD posted via Facebook Friday that, due to the Christmas holiday weekend, town facilities like the library, community center and town hall will not be open past 5 p.m. Friday.
They will remain closed through Monday, Dec. 26.
