Canton PD Issues Winter Driving Warning
With the first measurable snow of the season expected Tuesday, Canton police are reminding folks about safe snow driving.
CANTON, CT — With the town featuring rural roads and winding hills, the Canton Police Department on Monday issued a warning to motorists on the eve of the first measurable snow of the season.
The CPD urged residents to "please remember to give yourself extra time for both your morning and afternoon commutes" on Tuesday, Dec. 2, when a few inches of snow are expected to fall in Canton.
Often, the first snow of the season brings some driving woes to even the most hardened New England motorists.

• Avoid distractions such as cell phones.
• Check tires for wear and tear.
• Keep a safe distance from vehicles.
• Remove snow from the vehicle before driving.
