Canton Rec Hosting 2024 Holiday Light Contest

CANTON, CT — So Canton residents, do you think your home holiday light display is enough to make Chevy Chase's "Clark Griswold" cry?

Then you need to sign up for the Canton Parks and Recreation Department's 2024 Holiday House Lights Contest.

"Time to break out the string lights, tinsel, and yard decorations for this year's Holiday House Lights contest," wrote the town in an announcement.

Participants have until Monday, Dec. 16, to sign up to be in the contest.

The registration form is available online and the deadline to sign up is Monday, Dec. 16, at noon.

Then, judges volunteering for the town will fan out and view the lights from 5 to 9 p.m., with the public invited to tour the town as well.

The viewing period is 5 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 16.
