Canton Roadway To Be Closed For Two Months
A lengthy road project starting later this week will have Canton motorists scrambling while traveling in town.

CANTON, CT — A key section of a busy local roadway will be closed to traffic for about two months starting this Friday, Aug. 1.
According to the Town of Canton, part of Barbourtown Road will be closed from Aug. 1 to Sept. 30 for road work.
The affected area of the road will be between West Road and Bunker Hill Road, according to the Canton Department of Public Works.

The roads will be closed to through traffic between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., and detours will be in place.
Motorists are being urged to "please use caution when in the area."
