Canton Runners Finish Boston Marathon

Three Canton residents were among the nearly 25,000 people who ran the Boston Marathon on Monday.

CANTON, CT — Three Canton runners competed in the 2022 Boston Marathon on Monday.

Nearly 25,000 runners finished the marathon, including more than 350 from Connecticut.

Everett Hackett, 32, of Hartford was the top Connecticut runner at 50th place with an official time of 2:24:56. Laura Pierce, 40, of Woodbridge placed 127th among women and 2,251st overall with a time of 2:55:41.

The top Canton runner was 23-year-old Cameron Neeley, who finished with an official time of 2:57:58.

Neeley was followed by 34-year-old Douglas Hackenyos, who finished with an official time of 3:02:51; then 42-year-old Sean Meehan, whose official finish time was 3:32:24, according to the Boston Athletic Association.
