Canton Shopping Destination Announces Newest Arrival

A major women's salon franchise will celebrate a grand opening on Saturday, June 21, as it officially becomes Connecticut's third site.

CANTON, CT — A prominent shopping destinatino in Canton will celebrate its newest feature with a day of grand opening events at its newest business.

The Shops at Farmington Valley announced the opening of "Blo Blow Dry Bar," salon franchise, with a grand opening celebration planned for Saturday, June 21.

"The locally owned and woman-led salon opens its doors this month under the leadership of Connecticut native and entrepreneur Tiffany Gauba, who is redefining what it means to be both stylish and self-made in the Farmington Valley," wrote the The Shops at Farmington Vally, which is located at 110 Albany Turnpike, Canton, (Route 44).

It is Connecticut's third franchise, with other sites located in Greenwich and West Hartford.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was slated to be hosted by the Canton Chamber of Commerce Friday, June 20, at 1 p.m.

Then to celebrate the official opening of Blo Blow Dry Bar, a grand opening event will take place on Saturday, June 21, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Guests are invited to enjoy refreshments, swag giveaways, photo opportunities and other grand opening promotions.

According to The Shops, Gauba is a long-time Blo client and working mother of two, working 20 years in the dental field.

Before owning her own salon, Gauba drove nearly 40 minutes each month to the nearest location as a client.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Blo Blow Dry Bar to The Shops at Farmington Valley,” said Elizabeth Ackerman, general manager of The Shops at Farmington Valley, in a statement.

“It’s especially meaningful to support a women-owned business like Tiffany’s. Her journey from loyal guest to franchise owner is an inspiring example of local entrepreneurship. Blo brings a fresh, modern energy to our community and enhances the mix of beauty, wellness, and lifestyle offerings our guests love.”

Blo Blow Dry Bar’s signature "hair menu" includes five go-to styles, customizable options, updos, and makeup services.
