Canton Street Sweepers Attack Local Roadways
Canton public works crews Monday, April 1, began their annual spring task of sweeping the town's streets of winter debris.
CANTON, CT — Starting Monday, the Town of Canton began its annual rite of spring by doing a little spring cleaning on the town's streets.
That's when the Canton Department of Public Works broke out the street sweeper and began sweeping town roads, ridding the roadways of any sand, salt or other debris that accumulated over winter.
Canton officials said this work will continue for several weeks and motorists are asked to "please drive slow and proceed with caution" if they see a street sweeper.
