As part of this process, town officials are looking for input from the general public.

"Often the public gets involved after the proposed budget has been drafted and is being presented during the budget process in the spring," reads a joint statement issued by Cantin Interim Chief Administrative Officer Taryn Schrager and Canton Superintendent of School Jordan E. Grossman.
" This is an opportunity for residents to get involved early in the process by recommending capital projects to be funded."

Projects such as constructing a public restroom in Collinsville to making planned improvements at Mills Pond Park have received funding after residents expressed support.

Email CIP suggestions to Taryn Schrager, interim chief administrative officer, at tschrager@townofcantonct.org or mail to 4 Market St., PO Box 168, Collinsville, CT 06022. Make sure to include a complete description of the project you wish to have funded. Please send your Capital Improvement suggestions by Nov. 11.
