Canton Woman Joins Major HealthCare Consulting Group

CANTON, CT — A local woman with a long career in healthcare administration and nursing has joined a North Haven-based healthcare consulting firm specializing in hospice and home care.

Corcoran Consulting Group LLC said healthcare leader Nancy Scheetz, a current Canton resident and former resident of Simsbury, has joined the firm as a managing consultant.

Her job is to work with Corcoran team members to support the home care agency clients' operational, clinical, and financial goals.

She brings over 40 years of professional experience in health care, focusing on behavioral health, addiction services, home health care, and hospice, according to Corcoran.

Prior, she was chief executive of a Connecticut-based non-profit, licensed home care and hospice organization.

Before her home health CEO role, Scheetz served eight years at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center and 16 years at Hartford Hospital/The Institute of Living as an advanced practice nurse.

She is an undergraduate nursing school instructor at the Albany Medical Center School of Nursing, St. Joseph College, and Greater Hartford Community College.

Scheetz received her master’s degree in nursing from Russel Sage College, Troy, N.Y., and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Fairfield University.

She is a 2015 recipient of the Nightingale Honors for Nursing Excellence Award and a 2022 recipient of the Simsbury Chamber of Commerce’s Business Leader of the Year Award.

She serves on numerous boards and actively works in her community to prevent teen suicide and addiction in youth and older citizens and address risk factors in gun violence.
