Canton's 'Pollen Trail' To Showcase Pollinator Power

The town is hosting a free walking event Saturday, June 24, that will help folks learn about how they can have more pollinating plants.

CANTON, CT — Local gardeners looking to plant specific plants in their yards with an eye toward attracting pollinating insects might want to check out a local walking trail Saturday.

On Saturday, June 24, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., gardening experts will be stationed at the "Collinsville Pollen Trail" to give advice on how gardeners can attract life-giving pollinators to their property.

Centerpiece to the event is the so-called "pollen trail," which showcases various types of flora and fauna, all with an eye toward attracting a few very special insects.
