Canton's Pooches Can Take A Plunge

Canton is hosting a dog park fundraiser Aug. 29 allowing local canines to swim in a town swimming pool.

CANTON, CT — The Canton Parks and Recreation Department is hosting fundraiser for the Canton Dog Park Monday, Aug. 29, in which canines can take a dip in a town pool.

The event is called the "Pooch Plunge" and it will take place in two sessions Aug. 29 at the Mills Pond Pool. Admission is $10 per dog.

Mills Pond Pool is located at 14 E. Hill Road in Canton and this event offers a change for some end-of-summer frolic and fun for local pooches.

The first session will take place from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. and the second "swim wave" will take place from 6:45 to 7:30 p.m.

There is a limit of only 35 dogs per session, according to the Canton rec department.
