Collinsville FD Jamboree Kicks Off Holiday Weekend Fun In Canton

The annual fire department fundraiser, Wednesday-Saturday, features food, fun, rides, and a fireworks show on Friday.

CANTON, CT — Area residents can get a jumpstart on their Memorial Day Weekend of fun with the annual Collinsville Volunteer Fire Department 2025 Jamboree.

The 2025 edition of the major fire department fundraiser will take place from Wednesday, May 21, to Saturday, May 24, with four days of food, fun, rides, and a fireworks show.

All festivities take place at Memorial Field, 91 Powder Mill Road, Canton, from 6 to 10 p.m. each day, Wednesday through Saturday.

Of note during the four days:

• The event's highlight, a fireworks show, will take place Friday, May 23, at about 9 p.m. This night features a $5 parking fee, with parking donations accepted on the other days.

• Bracelets for rides are sold for $35 each every day.

• Credit cards are accepted for parking, tickets and bracelets.

• No dogs are allowed except for service dogs.

• No coolers are allowed.

The Canton Police Department has issued a traffic alert concerning Friday's fireworks.

"We encourage residents and visitors to plan accordingly, as traffic congestion and delays are expected in the surrounding area," wrote the CPD.

"If travel is necessary during this time, please consider using alternate routes to avoid delay."

Folks are being asked not to park in the lots of businesses that are not affiliated with the event.
