CT's Troubadour To Perform Free Show In Canton
Kala Farnham will be at the Canton Public Library on Saturday, Jan. 11, for a free concert showing off her eclectic style of music.

CANTON, CT — Guests are invited to come to the Canton Public Library on Saturday, Jan. 11, for a special concert event featuring a renowned singer-songwriter.
The library, located at 40 Dyer Ave., Canton, is hosting Connecticut State Troubadour Kala Farnham, a Pomret native who is making waves in the singer-songwriter community.
Named the official "state troubadour" in 2022, Farnham's term ends this year.

Her show in Canton, which is being sponsored by the Friends of the Canton Public Library, is free and no registration is required.
According to her biography on the State of Connecticut's website, Farnham's eclectic mix of music helps her in her other career — counseling.

"Kala began her musical journey at a young age, and in high school, she established herself as a working musician. In college, she furthered her studies in music performance and composition while also pursuing human services and mental health," reads her bio.
"Together, these interests drive her passion for the healing and transformative power of musical storytelling. It’s no surprise that Kala also serves as a certified crisis counselor and works with an array of populations such as at-risk youth, those who suffer from mental illness, and survivors of trauma."
