Expanding Asian Eatery To Open Site In Canton Next Year

CANTON, CT — The Shops at Farmington Valley has announced that Oxford-based Ramen & Bao and its array of Asian-inspired cuisine will open at the Canton shopping destination next year.

According to officials at the Shops at Farmington Valley, which is located off Route 44 in Canton, Ramen & Bao (aka R&B) is "a modern Asian-inspired culinary concept celebrated for its flavorful ramen bowls, steamed bao buns, and handmade soup dumplings."

“We’re thrilled to welcome Ramen & Bao to The Shops at Farmington Valley,” said Elizabeth Ackerman, general manager there.

“Their arrival enhances the incredible momentum we’ve seen throughout 2025, from the openings of Sweetgreen, Warby Parker, FP Movement, and J.Crew Factory to the excitement surrounding Shake Shack’s upcoming debut. As we continue to expand our mix, our focus remains on introducing concepts that feel fresh, memorable, and meaningful to our community. Ramen & Bao is a wonderful addition to that vision.”

Ramen & Bao will open in a courtyard location across from Blo Blow Dry Bar.

No firm opening date other than 2026 has been announced.

Ramen & Bao’s decision comes during a busy year for The Shops a Farmington Valley, which welcomed or will welcome several new additions.

Among them are/were: Sweetgreen, Warby Parker, FP Movement, and J.Crew Factory.

Earlier this fall, the shopping area also announced the upcoming arrival of Shake Shack.

Ramen & Bao will have a full-service dining room and carry-out options.

With one eatery already open in Oxford, Ramen & Bao is planning to open one in Cheshire next year as well.
