Free Garden Seeds Available At Canton Library
Throughout April, the Canton Public Library will have free seeds for folks interested in growing their spring gardens.
Town of Canton
CANTON, CT — It's officially spring and that means growing season is sneaking up on all of us.
And to help local gardening lovers get started, the Canton Public Library, located at 40 Dyer
Ave., actually has what it calls a "Seed Library" for folks to use. And its all free.

According to the town, from now through April 30, or as long as our supplies last, the Canton Public Library is offering a seed library that it hopes "to develop and improve annually as our patrons grow their gardens and perhaps donate seeds back to the library."
This year, the library's seed library is self-serve.

The free seed packets are housed in the cabinet with the sign under the blue counter in the adult area of the library.
Guests can come fill out a check-out form and “borrow” seeds for their garden this year.
"If it is convenient, consider sharing seeds you have grown with us at harvest time," wrote the town.
Users may select five packets in total of flower, vegetable and herb seeds.
They should also return the form to the bin on the Information Desk to help the library keep inventory. Seed library policies may change due to availability of seed.
