Sadly for her many customers, who stocked their parties and offices with her sweet, fresh-baked delights, they won't be able to after Nov. 15, the last day for online orders.

Even sadder, for those who enjoyed popping into her 250 Albany Turnpike (Route 44) shop for a tasty treat, Saturday, Nov. 8, will be the last day for "Cake Gypsy."

Damen thanked her customers on Wednesday while making the announcement.

"After many wonderful years of sharing life’s sweet moments with you, it’s time for me to retire. It’s been an incredible journey filled with hard work, long hours, sweet memories, and incredible customers like you," she wrote.

"It’s been an absolute honor to be a part of your life’s special events and celebrations. I am deeply grateful for your loyalty and support over the years - you’ve made this journey truly special, and I will cherish the memories forever. "

Many folks were such regular customers, they were part of Damen's "Cupcake of the Month" program, where folks would purchase cards for a cupcake every month.

Damen said people with these cards can stop by through Saturday and use up the remainder of their cards, or they can be reimbursed by contacting her.
