Inaugural Canton Pickleball Tourney Announced

The event will take place in September, with players from area towns invited to participate at a Canton park.

CANTON, CT — The town announced Wednesday it is hosting a pickleball tournament in September as summer's calendar switches to fall.

The Canton Parks and Recreation Department said the tournament will take place Sunday, Sept. 21, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Mills Pond Park, 14 East Hill Road, Canton.

"Get ready to dink, drive, and socialize at our upcoming, rotating round robin pickleball tournament," wrote the Town of Canton.

"This fun, community-focused event is all about building connections and enjoying the game we love in Canton and the surrounding areas."

Registration is being accepted right now, and Canton residents and non-residents alike are invited.

The cost to register is $20 for residents and $25 for non-residents.
