Major Traffic Issues Expected On Busy Canton Roadway Later This Week
The disruptions will take place on Thursday, Sept. 4, and Friday, Sept. 5, according to town officials.

CANTON, CT — Motorists are being advised to prepare for traffic issues on Write Road in Canton on Thursday and Friday.
According to the Town of Canton, Wright Road (Route 179 to the town line) will be down to one lane of alternating traffic on Thursday, Sept. 4, and Friday, Sept. 5, weather permitting, for road work.

Traffic will be impacted from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., officials said.
Emergency vehicles and school buses will be allowed to pass.

"All other traffic will be one lane alternating. Expect delays and please use caution in this area," wrote the Canton Department of Public Works.
