Mystery Urn Found On Canton Running/Hiking Trail
The Canton Police Department said it was found on a fence post at a trail, and they're looking to return the urn to its owner.
CANTON, CT —Local police on Thursday said a very unusual discovery was made on a well-used hiking/running trail in Canton.
According to the Canton Police Department, an urn containing cremated remains was found on the running trail behind the Canton Department of Public Works building, 50 River Road.
According to the CPD, the department has taken custody of the item and is seeking to return it to its rightful owner.

It was not disclosed whether the remains were of a human or, perhaps, a pet.
