New Avon Theater Group Hosting Benefit Event In Canton
A portion of the proceeds of pizzas sold at American Flatbread in Canton on June 25 will aid Playhouse 44 out of Avon.
CANTON/AVON, CT — A fledgling community theater group out of Avon is partnering with a popular Canton pizza place for a special fundraiser early next week.
Playhouse 44, a new nonprofit theater group in Avon, will host a benefit at American Flatbread in Canton on Tuesday, June 25, from 4:30 to 9 p.m.
During that time, a portion of the proceeds for every tasty pizza sold (either take-out or dine-in) will go to the theater organization.

In addition to that, guests dining in at American Flatbread that night will be able to win one of three prizes as part of a silent trivia quick game that will be offered.
American Flatbread is located at the Shops of Farmington Valley in Canton, 110 Albany Turnpike.

It is one of 10 restaurants in New England and the only one in Connecticut, with other eateries in Vermont, Maine, and Massachusetts.
Playhouse 44, named after the state roadway that goes through Avon, was formed in 2023 by a group of local theater buffs and it will have its first slate of shows in August at Avon High School.
