A new department at the grocery store called "Fresh to Table" offers ready-to-cook and ready-to-eat entrees.

CANTON, CT — ShopRite of Canton customers can now buy ready-to-cook and ready-to-eat meals through a new initiative that officials are calling "Fresh to Table."

Officials described Fresh to Table as "an innovative store-within-a-store concept" designed to provide easy dinner entrees. It's made up of ready-to-cook items ("Prep & Eat"), ready-to-heat items ("Heat & Eat") and ready-to-eat meals ("Grab & Eat").

"We're excited for our customers to experience the Fresh to Table concept at our ShopRite of Canton location," said Chuck Joseph, president of Joseph Family Markets, which operates ShopRite of Canton. "Fresh to Table is a unique space offering a variety of delicious and freshly prepared foods that provide extra convenience for our customers, whether they're looking for a ready-to-serve option, or inspiration and help preparing meals of their own."
