A cardiovascular health institute and a gym offering barre fitness classes are the plaza's newest tenants.

CANTON, CT — This spring, The Shops at Farmington Valley has added its first health facility and a gym that offers barre classes to its lineup.
Hoffman Heart and Vascular Institute, which provides cardiovascular care, is opening this spring; while Pure Barre, which teaches barre classes, has already opened its doors.
"Expanding our breadth of health and wellness services that we have to offer here makes it even more convenient for consumers to have easy access to their important healthcare appointments," said Elizabeth Ackerman, general manager of The Shops. "And with the addition of Pure Barre and the new XPASS by Xponential Fitness, achieving one's health and fitness goals has become even easier."

Pure Barre
Pure Barre, a fitness studio with over 550 studios nationwide — including seven in Connecticut — has chosen The Shops for its first Farmington Valley location.
The studio has opened at 110 Albany Ave., Suite 924. It offers a full-body workout, with musically-driven group classes (up to 50 minutes long) that focus on low-impact, high-intensity movements designed to strengthen and tone the body.
"Pure Barre continues to lead the barre category with its proven, effective technique," Pure Barre president Sarah Luna said. "Pure Barre is more to our customers than just what happens within the four walls of a studio. There is a shared sense of community to inspire and empower each other's fitness and lifestyle goals, something we're proud to say is reaching new clients each day with the addition of new studios."
Anyone who wants to sign up for a barre class or get more information can call 860-352-8873 or visit the studio's website here.
