State Legislators Form Farmington Valley Caucus

The caucus will concentrate on issues that are "vital" to Farmington Valley residents, the Hartford Courant reports.

State legislators formed a new caucus in Hartford last week to work on the issues facing Farmington Valley residents, the Hartford Courant reports.

The 12-member group, which includes State Rep. Tim LeGeyt (R) and state Sen. Kevin Witkos, represents about 20 towns in the area, the Courant said.

"There were many good ideas discussed on how the Farmington Valley area towns can work together," Mike Demicco, D-Farmington said in the article. "Regional cooperation is a way for towns to work together and save taxpayer dollars. It just makes sense."
