Street Sweepers To Tackle Canton, Move Your Cars: Town

Canton's public works department is cleaning the streets of Collinsville in preparation for Monday's Memorial Day Parade.

CANTON, CT — Local road crews will be out in Collinsville starting Wednesday to sweep the streets and make sure they're clean for the Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 26.

As a result, local motorists and those living in the area are being asked to move their cars starting tonight (Tuesday, May 20) to make sure the streets are clear.

Starting at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, the Canton Department of Public Works will be sweeping downtown Collinsville in preparation for the parade.

"Please refrain from parking on the downtown streets overnight or please move your vehicle before the work beings," wrote Canton officials Tuesday.

The Canton Town Hall parking lot is available for parking on Tuesday evening/Wednesday morning.
