Thanksgiving Weekend In Canton: What You Need To Know

The town has announced its openings/closings for the upcoming Thanksgiving weekend, which starts Thursday, Nov. 27.

CANTON, CT — Canton officials have announced the upcoming Thanksgiving weekend impacts on town and school operations.

For Wednesday, Nov. 26, all town offices will be closing at 3 p.m., including the Canton Public Library.

Then, on Thursday, Nov. 27, and Friday, Nov. 28, all town offices will be closed, including the transfer station and the library.

For Saturday, Nov. 29, the Transfer Station will be open regular hours from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the library will be closed.

Canton Public Schools, meanwhile, will have a half day on Wednesday, Nov. 26, with schools closed on Thursday, Nov. 27, and Friday, Nov. 28.

Classes resume as normal on Monday, Dec. 1.
