The CT Department of Transportation recently performed an evaluation of the load-carrying capacity of the Wright Road bridge. Based on the results of this evaluation, the Department has recommended the Town of Canton post this structure for a weight restriction of 26 tons for a single unit truck. Signs have been placed at the bridge in both directions, and at all preceding intersections so that overweight vehicles may seek an alternate route.
