Track and Field Fundraising Project Committee at $10,000 of $50,000 Goal

The Track and Field Fundraising Project Committee has raised nearly $10,000 of its $50,000 goal to help fund bleachers at the new Canton High School track and field facility. 

Folsom Construction is donating a scoreboard for the field along with $10,000 toward the bleachers. The town has estimated bleachers to cost between $1250,000 and $150,000. With some surplus funds for the project, the group is looking to raise enough to cover the difference and in mid December announced a $50,000 in 50 days campaign. 

Donations can be made payable to Canton Board of Ed and mailed to Canton High School, 76 Simonds Avenue, Canton, CT 06019 ATTN: Track & Field Fundraising Project.
