Tree-Cutting For Bridge Project To Snarl Canton Traffic
A local roadway will be impacted as the town will have detours in place near one Canton bridge on Thursday and Friday.

CANTON, CT — Work to replace a bridge in town will begin in earnest later this week, with pre-job tree work expected to disrupt traffic for a bit.
According to the Town of Canton, the bridge contractor’s tree service will be on-site at the Washburn Road Bridge this Thursday, March 13, and Friday, March 14, to cut trees for the project.

The road will be closed to through traffic at both sides of the bridge and only local traffic (residents of the street, deliveries) will be permitted entry.
"Please follow the detour signs during the road closure," wrote the Town of Canton. "We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience."
