Another Dunkin Donuts May Come to Cheshire

There will be a public hearing before the Planning & Zoning Commission on the DD proposal on Sept. 9.

There are currently three Dunkin' Donuts stores in Cheshire.

And, depending on how the Planning & Zoning Commission votes in the coming months, that number could soon be bumped up to four.

Massachusetts-based Consulting and Design LLC is seeking to renovate a Shell station at the corner of routes 68 and 70 to include a Dunkin' Donuts with a drive-thru.

There will be a public hearing on the proposal on Sept. 9 during the P&Z Commission meeting. The reason for the hearing has to do with the fact that the new business could pose a potential impact on the terrain due to water runoff. The business has said it plans on installing catch basins on the property, according to paperwork at the P&Z office.

The proposed business is located at 905 West Main St., which is down the street from another Dunkin' Donuts next to Lora's Italian Deli.
