Cheshire CMT, CAPT Scores Remain Above State Averages
Overall, the standardized test scores for the Cheshire School District were pretty similar to last year's totals, with a slight increase in CAPT scores.

In Cheshire, town students still exceed the state averages in both CMT and CAPT scores.
In releasing the CMT and CAPT test scores for individual districts this year, the state Department of Education announced that CMT scores — given to students in grades three through eight — dipped as compared to last year, while CAPT performance — administered to 10th-graders — showed gains in some areas.
The numbers for Cheshire, meanwhile, stayed relatively flat. CAPT scores were up slightly from 2012, particularly in math and science, but not severely.
Still, on just about every test, Cheshire students scored higher than the state average. For a look at Cheshire's CMT performance results, search the table above.
