Chocolate Sold In Southington Recalled By Company: State
The state Department of Consumer Protection said consuming the chocolate could cause illness for some.
SOUTHINGTON/HARWINTON, CT — A small chocolate company based in Harwinton has recalled chocolate bars sold at three locations nationwide, including one in Southington.
According to the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection, Food and Standards Division, Willy Pete's Chocolate Co. of Harwinton is recalling its Almond Despair bars.
The reason for the recall is a labeling mistake, state officials said, as the ingredient list incorrectly states that the product contains macadamia nuts instead of almonds.
