Cheshire Rolls Into Class L Football Championship Game

The Rams punched their ticket to the state finals with a shutout victory over Ridgefield in the Class L semifinals.

CHESHIRE, CT — The Cheshire football team advanced to the Class L championship game with a 21-0 semifinal victory over seventh-seeded Ridgefield on Monday night in Cheshire.

Noel Martinez had two touchdown runs, and quarterback Aiden Gregorich added a 27-yard touchdown run to help lead the Rams to their first trip to the state finals since winning the Class LL crown in 2009, according to GameTimeCT.

Hunter Hearrin had three sacks to help lead the Cheshire defense to the shutout, according to GameTimeCT.

The third-seeded Rams will take on No. 1 New Canaan in the championship game on Saturday, Dec. 13 at a place and time to be determined.
