Cheshire Wins SCC Boys Golf Championship

Cheshire took home the title on a new SCC tiebreaker.

CHESHIRE, CT — The Cheshire boys golf team edged North Haven to claim the SCC Golf Championship this week at The Farms Country Club in Wallingford.

Cheshire and North Haven both finished with a score of 301, but the Rams took home the title based on a new SCC tiebreaker.

“The team with the lowest combined score (top four scoring players on each team) on the course’s number one handicap hole (Farms Country Club, hole #7),” according to a post on the SCC website. “Cheshire was -1 on the hole, North Haven was even par.”
