Kindergarten Registration Begins In Cheshire: Here’s What To Know
Cheshire Public Schools will hold an in-person kindergarten registration event for the 2026-2027 school year.
CHESHIRE, CT — Kindergarten registration for the 2026-2027 school year is underway in Cheshire.
Parents can register their students online, or at an in-person registration event on Wednesday, Feb. 4.
The event will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the town’s elementary schools.

To be eligible to register for kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year, your child must be 5 years old before Sept. 1, 2026 (born on or before Sept. 1, 2021). The school your child will attend for kindergarten is based on your street address.

Parents may register their kindergarten students online or in person at their home school on Feb. 4, between 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. Students in the Barnum district, if registering in person, should go to Chapman School.
