New Ice Cream Shop Sets Opening Date In Cheshire
A father-son duo is opening their third ice cream shop location that features vendors from all over Connecticut.
CHESHIRE, CT — A new ice cream shop is opening its doors in Cheshire on Friday, Jan. 3, the owners recently announced.
Micro Creamery of Connecticut is opening its third location in the former home of Sweet Claude’s Ice Cream at 830 South Main St. in Cheshire.
The business is run by the father-son duo of Dinesh and Shahan Kukreja. The Kukrejas also own Micro Creamery of Connecticut locations in Woodbridge and Milford.

“We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new store on Friday, January 3rd!” the owners recently wrote in a post on Facebook. “Our family has been in Cheshire for over 25 years and we couldn’t be happier to be opening our 3rd store here. We are excited to be a part of this great community and to share our delicious ice cream with you all! We will see you all opening day.”
Micro Creamery is “driven by our passion for community and highlighting some of CT’s super premium, hand-crafted Ice Cream for our customers,” according to a post on its website.

“With locations in Woodbridge and Milford, we're creating a family friendly dog inclusive environment and a place where people can make memories that will last forever,” the post reads. “Our theme is inspired by the ever-popular microbrewery concept. We have 6 different local vendors with over 70 Ice Creams from all over Connecticut.”
Micro Creamery’s current vendors are Big Dipper in Prospect, Praline’s in Wallingford, Buck’s Ice Cream in Milford, Salem Valley Farms in Salem, Arethusa Farm in Bantam, and Cold Fusion Gelato in Westport.
