Obituary: Theresa W. Balzer, 91, of Cheshire

CHESHIRE, CT - (From Sisk Brothers Funeral Home) In Meriden, August 16, 2021 Theresa W. Balzer 91, of Cheshire. Wife of the late Howard C. Balzer. Loving mother of Patricia A. Balzer, Mary Therese Balzer and Margaret Balzer Beebe (William).

Also survived by her cherished grandchildren Christopher H. Beebe and Kathryn E. Beebe. Predeceased by a brother John J. Walsh and sisters Mary M. Walsh and Margaret N. Walsh, and a niece Gladys Walsh DeStephano.

Mrs. Balzer was born in New Haven on July 11, 1930 daughter of the late James J. and Margaret Lenane Walsh.

Theresa was a registered nurse for over 50 years and worked at St. Raphael's Hospital and the Travelers Insurance Co. prior to retirement.

She had graduated from St. Francis School, Hillhouse High School in 1948 and St. Francis School of Nursing in 1951.

Funeral from Sisk Brothers Funeral Home 3105 Whitney Ave. Hamden Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church 5 Hillhouse Ave. New Haven.

Burial in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4-7:30 pm at Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
