Winter Festival At Cheshire High School: What To Know (patch.com) — Families in Cheshire are invited to the 14th annual Winter Festival at Cheshire High School this Saturday morning, supporting the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Foundation. With nearly 400 students involved, the event offers crafts, music, games, face painting, Santa photos, and concessions, all aimed at giving back to local youth and families. A snow date is set for Sunday if weather interferes.

Cheshire Store Has Liquor Permit Suspended By State (patch.com) — Cheshire residents may notice Super Wines & Liquors on West Main Street closed for alcohol sales on January 5, when its liquor permit will be suspended for one day. With Chapman School closing and two new elementary schools opening, hundreds of students could be reassigned as the district tackles severe overcrowding and plans for long‑term growth.
   

4. 6 Connecticut high school football state championships to be played Saturday (fox61.com) — Cheshire High’s football team plays unbeaten New Canaan for the Class L state championship Saturday at Veterans Stadium in New Britain, a marquee matchup among six title games statewide.
