Road Closure Announced For Bridge Replacement In Cheshire

The road will be closed to all through traffic for about three months, according to officials.

CHESHIRE, CT — Officials are advising motorists that due to bridge reconstruction, Industrial Avenue will be closed to all through traffic, including buses and emergency vehicles (day and night), for approximately three months, commencing on or about August 5, 2024 and remaining closed through Nov. 11.

Access to local businesses up to the barricades will be maintained.

Traffic accessing properties located east of the bridge construction can be done from the intersection of Highland Avenue (CT Route 10) and traffic accessing properties located west of the bridge construction can be done from the intersection of Sandbank Road.

There will be no traffic allowed through the construction site during the duration of the project.
