Winter Festival At Cheshire High School: What To Know
The event features a "winter wonderland of crafts, music, face painting, games, prizes, pictures with costumed friends and Santa…"
CHESHIRE, CT — The 14th annual Winter Festival at Cheshire High School will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, Dec. 13.
The festival is being held in conjunction with the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Foundation and all proceeds will go right back into this charitable memorial foundation, according to organizers.
“The Ryan T. Lee Memorial Foundation was established by one of our beloved faculty members, Daniel Lee, in honor of his late son, Ryan,” according to a news release from Cheshire Public Schools. “Cheshire High School teachers Maureen DiSorbo and Matthew Swanson started the first annual Winter Festival in 2012. Since then, both the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Foundation and Winter Festival have developed a Cheshire High School community event that is dedicated to giving back to the youth and families of Cheshire.

“We welcome all families to experience an afternoon in a winter wonderland of crafts, music, face painting, games, prizes, pictures with costumed friends and Santa, for a suggested cash donation of $20.00 per family. We also offer a concession stand of hot beverages and festive baked goods to enjoy for an additional cost. Many Cheshire clubs, teams, and groups have joined us this year in our mission.”
The snow date will be on Sunday, Dec. 14, in the event of inclement weather.
