YMCA’s Sea Dog Race: The Results Are In
Several Cheshire residents placed high at Cheshire Community YMCA's Sea Dog Race Sunday.

The 4th annual Sea Dog Road Races were run on Sunday with nearly 1,000 runners/walkers competing in the 5k, 10k and Kid’s Doggie Dash Fun Run.
The Cheshire Y Cup Elementary School Relay was run as part of the 5k event. Teams of three elementary school children in grades 3-6 each ran one leg of the 3.11 mile race and competed on behalf of their school. Doolittle is the Y Cup Champion for the 3rd straight year.
The Sea Dog Races and Healthy Living Expo help raise awareness of healthy lifestyles in the community. Proceeds from this event benefit the Y’s Annual Community Support Campaign and YMCA programming. Support funds are used to provide financial assistance for Cheshire families and individuals and to run programs such as LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, a free program for cancer survivors.
