Clinton Park & Recreation Partners with Local Business

There's a new exercise program for kids in grades two through high school offered by a new local business and the town's Park & Rec department.

A new program offered through the town's Park & Rec Department brings together a local business and exercise to kids from second grade through high school.

Clinton business CrossFit Battleground is proud to offer the 'Kids and Junior Athlete CrossFit' program.  The program is designed to help kids and pre-teens develop a love for fitness.

"We believe that by making exercise fun, in a class setting, with measurable and obtainable results, we will start our youth off in a positive direction," said representatives from CrossFit Battleground. "In addition to overall athleticism, our program will help your child gain more self-confidence, instill a healthy, positive body image, and teach them how to work well with others.  Safety is our number one priority, so all movements are taught by a qualified and knowledgeable instructor."

Classes take place at the CrossFit Battleground facility at 32 Nod Place, Unit B, in Clinton. The program begins May 1.

Thursdays at 5:10pm - 6pm, and Saturdays at 8am - 8:50am. Fee: $55 per child, $27.50 each additional sibling. Each child must have water bottle, workout clothes and sneakers.
