DMV Old Saybrook Office Closing Tuesday After Transformer Issue

The Department of Motor Vehicles closed its Old Saybrook office for the rest of Tuesday, Jan. 19, after a pick-up truck hit the building’s power transformer and pulled it from its base.

“Eversource will need to disconnect power at the office to replace the transformer,” DMV officials said. “The office will be closed for the remainder of today [Tuesday, Jan. 19].”

Anyone needing to use the Old Saybrook office may go to a nearby DMV or AAA office that can be found on the CT DMV website.
