After last week's failed referendum vote, town officials and the Board of Finance will hold a Public Hearing on the proposed '13-'14 fiscal year budget this Wednesday, May 15 at 7pm at Andrews Memorial Town Hall in Clinton.
The $15.39 million town and the $31.40 million school budgets were rejected by voters May 8. The budgets will be further reduced before they head back to a second vote.
At a special meeting May 10, the Board of Selectmen identified $179,625 in reductions from the town budget and recommended that the Board of Finance raise the level of cuts from the school budget from $49,000 to $97,211.

A second referendum vote is scheduled for Wednesday, May 22 at town hall from 6am to 8pm.
