Callahan Endorsed By Carpenters Union In The 108th District
The organization advocates for the 3,000 union carpenters in Connecticut.

The North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, has endorsed State Rep. Patrick Callahan’s reelection in the 108th District, representing New Fairfield, New Milford, Sherman, and Danbury. The organization advocates for the 3,000 union carpenters in Connecticut.

In a letter to members, the Union wrote, “We support candidates that support us on our issues--prevailing wage, better enforcement against wage theft in the underground economy, local responsible contractor laws, strong apprenticeship programs and funding for projects that create good jobs for our members.”
Representative Callahan voted for the residential prevailing rate bill that became law and voting for our Wage Theft Responsibility bill in the Judiciary Committee.

“I am proud to have the support of this group of hard working men and women. I understand their members and the industry in a way most legislators do not. While attending Western Connecticut State University, I worked summers for one of their long-time signatory contractors, A.V. Tuchy, based in Norwalk,” said Callahan.
Callahan, of New Fairfield is the Ranking Member of the Environment Committee and is a member of the committees on Appropriations and Judiciary.
