Couple Threatened to Kill Resident in Home Invasion, Police Seek Help Identifying Suspects

Police say a Hispanic couple forcibly entered a home on Prospect Street off Town Hill Ave. and stole cash, jewelry and the resident's purse.

DANBURY, CT — The Danbury Police Department is requesting the help of the public in identifying a couple they say are suspects in a home invasion.

Police said a couple forcibly entered a home on Prospect Street at approximately 12:50 p.m. on Monday and stole cash, jewelry and the resident's purse.

According to a police report, the female victim stated she got off the city bus on Town Hill Ave. and began walking eastbound on Prospect St. when she noticed a gray SUV parked in front of her residence.

She told police that a couple was sitting in the parked SUV and when the victim reached her home, the Hispanic female asked her for a drink of water. When she brought the water, she said the Hispanic male forcibly pushed his way into the residence, followed by the female, police said. The suspects then stole cash, jewelry and her purse. The victim told police that the female suspect also said she was going to kill her.


Police are asking for help finding a Hispanic male in his 40's, 6 feet tall and of medium - heavy set build with short, dark hair, short dark beard, multi-colored long-sleeved shirt and black dress pants.

The Hispanic female was described to police as 35 - 40 years old, 5' 2", medium - heavy set build, light brown/blonde short hair, red bandana, brown colored floral shirt and gray pants.

The victim could not identify the gray SUV's make or model.
